Recycle your Styrofoam and e-waste at The Plastic Project

The Plastic Project has agreed to a partnership with Green Century Recycling in Portland for even more recycling!


Green Century Recycling collects the following items:


Starting with The Plastic Project's collection event on October 5, 2024, Green Century Recycling will set up a drive-thru drop-off in the parking lot across from First Baptist Church.


Green Century Recycling collects Styrofoam blocks, #6 & #4 Styrofoam, clean and dry food containers, and packing peanuts, bagged in their own bag. Styrofoam must be free of any tape, labels, adhesive, cardboard, etc. Cost is $10 per 45 gallon trash bag.


Green Century will not be collecting light bulbs, household batteries (AA, AAA, button cell, etc), or media.


Green Century collects e-waste for no charge! Read the attached PDF to see all the e-waste that is accepted and not accepted with Green Century Recycling.



The Plastic Project's 2025 collection dates are:

February 8, 2025
May 3, 2025
August 2, 2025
November 1, 2025
