Planet Made of Plastic
What is The Plastic Project?

Founded in 2021, our mission has been to reduce plastic waste in Yamhill County.

Why do we need The Plastic Project?

Plastic curbside recycling is very limited, so we collect hard-to-recycle containers to keep them out of incinerators and landfills.

What kind of projects do you have?

  • We host plastic education events in the community

  • We specialize in plastic waste consultation

  • We can help you with your special events

  • and we're always expanding our collection opportunities

RETHINK - REFUSE - REDUCE - REUSE - THEN RECYCLE

How can you help us collect plastic?

Bring your hard-to-recycle items to our pop-up collections. Sort and bag items separately. Plastic must be clean and dry to be accepted.
Combine smaller bags together into a large paper grocery bag.

$4 per full paper grocery bag. Cash or Check accepted.

We recycle:

  • Straws & Utensils

  • Bread bag clips

  • Plastic screw-on caps

  • Clear (no color) #1 PET plastic

  • #2 HDPE plastic

  • #4 LDPE plastic

  • #5 PP plastic

  • #6 PS plastic
